The week of February 19th, the Cox Security team identified suspicious activity on a number of Cox customer email accounts. In an abundance of caution, access to those accounts was reset to that we could further clarify the situation with affected customers. Based on the details you provided, it sounds like your email account may have been affected.
To reset your account and ensure that it is appropriately secured, go to http://ww2.cox.com/myconnection/home.cox and click on "Forgot User ID/Password." Please do not use the same password as it may have been compromised. You will then need to update your new password in your email settings for all of your devices that you check your email from, such as your desktop, laptop, Smartphone, or tablet.
