The problem is now corrected, with no thanks to Cox. I took care of it myself. It was an easy fix too. If I had talked with a competent support team it would have been fixed in just a few minutes instead of hours.
I still can't believe that guy didn't seem to know about Client for Microsoft Networks or IP addressing. Had he never configured a firewall or set Bindings in NetBEUI? I guess all he knew was the script on McAfee, and there was no scripting to pass me up the chain to someone who knew more.
