bootsThey may have you under the old DOCSIS 2 service code, if thats the case you have to call and get them to switch you to DOCSIS 3. This happened to me and I went from 30mbps to a solid 50mbps.

bootsIt was a huge fight getting someone on the line who could make the change. That was right after they went to 50mbps though so they may be more familiar with the steps to do it now.
More and more areas are requiring it now. Pretty soon none of our reps will have any excuse not to do it/know how to do it.
For the record, to the best of my knowledge, as of today the "Premier" vs. "Premier for DOCSIS 3" dichotomy currently exists in Northern VA/Hampton Roads VA (not Roanoke yet), Rhode Island, Georgia, Florida (both systems), Arizona, Nevada, Baton Rouge/Greater LA (not New Orleans yet), Kansas/Arkansas, and Nebraska/Iowa.
