Sounds like this may be remnant of the maintenance we recently performed on several email accounts due to them being compromised. I would recommend checking all devices used to access this email account for malware. Also, go to www.cox.com/password and change the password to a brand new never used password. Then, go into all mail clients and change the password for the pop/imap and smtp settings. You want to also make sure that the username is the email address WITHOUT @cox.net in both locations. Please let us know if you continue to have this issue.
