                I got another modem coming, I can only try things they  recommend.  My internet was doing a lot better but this weekend was as bad as last weekend.  If the new modem doesn't do the job it will be great  but if it doesn't , the ball goes back to cox.   I learn years ago, internet is to important to rely on one service provider.   I have  cox and AT&T.  At&t has proven to be more reliable then cox, the last two years but I can't get the speed from DSL that I can get from Cox.  Cox can run good for a year or two then you get problems that can take from two weeks  to  two  months to fix.  Once they get it right your are good  till they start updating to the   next level.  I think they charge to much and cut to many corners on there service.  Cox needs to provide there own equipment and upgrade it as needed.   Charter cable does just that.    AT&T  U-Verse is coming my ways soon with the right speeds, and I will try it.
