I too have this problem, I've tracked it from July 6 - Present, Cox has been reporting 50%-101% more data each day since July 15...I called, was escalated to tier 2. The tier 2 rep filed a report with the Atlanta home office tech's and sent them my data (meticulously recorded in a spreadsheet with graphs clearly showing cox isn't tracking data correctly). That was over a week ago and I haven't heard back on it yet, but it still shows excess data each day. I wish they'd at least acknowledge there was a problem.
