View ArticleRE: Can't get past 30Mbps with Premier Internet & DOCSIS 3 modem
There's a powered amplifier that Cox installed right in front of the modem - I believe the levels were low without it. I think they did put an attenuator on it, but maybe it's not enough?Oddly enough...
View ArticleCan't get past 30Mbps with Premier Internet & DOCSIS 3 modem
I have the premier internet access and can't get anywhere close to the 50Mbps. 3rd party test sites shows 8-10Mbps, Cox speed test shows 20Mpbs. I do have a DOCSIS 3 modem. Other posters have had an...

When you say your service seems slower, what do you mean? Web browsing? Downloading? Streaming? And I would still take a look at those signal levels. How is the cable wiring laid out from the street to...

I assume you have the DPC3825?Someone must have changed the password from the default. Who set the Cisco up? Do you have any paper work with the network name and password on it from that time? If not,...
View ArticleRE: Only 3 of 4 upstream channels bonded in DOCSIS 3. Is this normal?
Considering Cox doesn't offer any Tier with a upload above 10Mbps, I would say your seeing the full effect of speedboost on the upload and latency is normal. I would say your fine.

View ArticleATT Mod: Teamviewer/remote support
I was wondering how Cox feels about the offering of remote support (Teamviewer, Logmein, etc) to customers from other customers? I understand this isn't anything Cox can do, but is it against any forum...

I do not believe it is possible with that gateway device. The best you could do is disable the DHCP server, Firewall and wireless, but then you would still have issues with NAT. Your better off calling...

I can't blame the Router People, only myself. Their issue as with so many is the support people have no understanding of router workings (including yours truly). only an answer sheet much like FAQs....
View ArticleRE: Setting up email on iphone with domain name - can receive-can't send
That's an interesting question, but it's one I'm not sure we can answer. If you're asking how to set up e-mail for a non-Cox domain, then we'll have to refer you to your hosting provider. If it's a...

Sounds more like a wireless signal issue. Alot of times the TV itself acts like shield, blocking and interfering the signal. A simple solution might be a USB extender. I would try that first before...
